Burke and Beyond supports participants to reach their short term and long term goals by supporting their objectives as defined by their Person Centred Plans. We support each participant by giving them the opportunity to access various activities and to participate in community life. We also support our participants to explore various volunteering and recreational options.

There are a variety of volunteering opportunities at Burke and Beyond, from supporting participants to work in a variety of community programs or by contributing to administrative functions such as participating in writing our magazine!  We try to match your interest with our purpose so that volunteering is both interesting and rewarding. We recognise how important and valuable volunteers are in assisting people who are in need of support from our services. We welcome the opportunity to work together with volunteers in developing and expanding our services and using any skills that volunteers can offer.

The aim of our organisation is to encourage and support a person within their abilities and limitations so that they can achieve their full potential and remain independent. We encourage our volunteers to provide assistance in a variety of forms in order to help people to achieve this.
